Fall 2022 Sale Report

Saturday the 26th of November was a rainy and dreary day that produced a standing room only crowd to the Hope Livestock Facility for the 9th Annual Cream of the Crop Fall Sale. The insecurity of resources to winter cattle along with the instability of the economy and markets hampered the volume of females on offer. The quality on the other hand made up for the lack of numbers.

The pairs that were offered had a lot of friends. First calf pairs ranged from $1,650 to $2,375. The 3-5 year old pairs sold from $1,650 to $2,075.

An outstanding set of bred heifers was the highlight of the sale. High points include the Hensley Brangus heifers that were the top sellers at an average of nearly $2,500. There were multiple separate consignments of F-1s and Tigerstripes that ranged from $1,700 to $2,325.

A nice collection of open heifers rounded out the sale. Brangus, F-1s, Brahman and Charolais sold from $900 to $1,475.

Sale Averages:

Pairs- $2,000

Bred Cows- $1,643

Bred Heifers- $1,865

Opens- $1,260
